The evening was late and the lines were growing longer in this well-built European structure. Hungarian people lined the walls - standing room only - to receive prayer. After speaking an hour and praying for sick people for two hours, the line seemed to only move an inch.
God‘s healing power was being displayed through many, but my body was tired. It's in these moments that Philippians 4:13, becomes a reality, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." He certainly answered my prayer as I looked up to see a beautiful 17-year-old Hungarian girl and her three friends approach me. They weren't giggling like you would expect most teenage girls to be in this situation, instead their demeanor was solemn yet expectant.
Timidly, the girl in the middle, Sarah, placed her hand on her back and shared, "I have a tumor on my back that's causing me a lot of pain. The doctors don't know what it is yet. Will you pray for me?"
With Sarah's permission, she allowed me to place my hand on the area where she felt the most pain and I could feel a golf ball size tumor protruding from her body. I asked, “On a scale of 1 to 10 (1= little pain, 10 = severe pain), where does your pain rate?" Sarah responded with, “An 8."
Together we asked the Lord, who heals all diseases, to release His healing power into her body and remove this tumor. Immediately, I could feel the tumor shrinking under my hand slowly, but it did not disappear completely.
I stopped for a moment and asked again about her pain level. It had decreased to a level 4. So, we prayed again.
As I prayed, I felt God shrinking the tumor once again under my hand until it had completely disappeared.
“Do you have any more pain?,” I asked. In excitement, her hands quickly covered her mouth as she started jumping up and down saying, “It’s gone! I have no pain!” After she settled a bit, I asked her to place her hand on the spot where the tumor was and immediately she realized the tumor that had been interrupting her teen years was now gone. Her once solemn friends were jumping and screaming in excitement.
Sarah wrapped her arms around me saying, “Thank you! Thank you!”
Thank you, Jesus!! He is our healer.
Sickness is no respecter of age, race, gender, or faith. Neither is God. He heals all diseases. (Psalms 103:3)
